Awaiting a visit by a committee that could give his company an award for excellence, Julio Blanco, the owner of an industrial scales manufacturing business, tries to resolve any of his workers’ problems in time. But it seems that everything is conspiring against him! Working against the clock, Blanco goes to extreme lengths to resolve his employees’ problems, resulting in a succession of explosive events and unimaginable consequences.

The screening will be preceded by an introduction by Gustavo Herrera Taboada.

Gustavo Herrera Taboada is a Peruvian film scholar specialising in Spanish and Latin American cinemas. He is currently a PhD candidate in Film Studies at the University of Edinburgh and has previously completed an MA in Film and Media Studies at Columbia University (New York, NY). Gustavo is a periodical film contributor and critic for online blog site Cinencuentro (Peru). He is the programming assistant for the Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival, and is a member of the Film Studies Reading Group.
