Join us on Wednesday 21 June for a Make Music Day inaugural film screening in partnership with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.

Discover – or rediscover – fresh sounds and new musical voices across the four music videos filmed in Edinburgh’s iconic Leith Theatre.

Special guest director, Mauro Silva, will be joining to share how his creative vision captured the movement and vitality of live music in such an intimate setting.

To begin with, the SCO string quartet will showcase the whirling energy of Shostakovich alongside African-American composer Florence Price’s vibrant and bold music.

After a short interval, we will close with Nokuthula Ngwenyama’s visionary work contrasted against Radiohead’s Johnny Greenwood’s lyrical soundscape.
