Willy Gilder was diagnosed with early-stage Alzheimer's in 2021. He is determined to use his skills from his career as a BBC radio journalist and practising artist to inspire the world to #RethinkDementia. Willy is also involved in a dementia research group in Scotland, known as the Ecredibles. Unheard Voices is Willy's bold mini commission interviewing his peers living with dementia describing in their own words what living with a dementia diagnosis is actually like.
Dawn-Claire Irvine is Project Manager for "bold - Bringing Out Leaders in Dementia" at the University of Edinburgh as part of the Edinburgh Centre for Research on the Experience of Dementia (ECRED).
