‘’Francophonie‘’ today constitutes a literary archipelago of global importance. As there are still many misunderstandings regarding the notion of ‘francophone’, it is particularly interesting to look at these literatures from a postcolonial perspective, in order to assess their
own creativity and to dispel the ambiguities associated with it. Pr Jean-Marc Moura will present some recent developments in these literatures and show how their study is now situated at the crossroads of postcolonial research and studies on globalisation.
Jean-Marc Moura is emeritus Professor of Comparative and Francophone Literature at Paris Nanterre University, and honorary member of the Institut Universitaire de France. His work focuses on exoticism, francophone and postcolonial literatures, humour in literature and world literature.
