Vincent Doumeizel is an Ocean Advisor to the United Nations Global Compact and Director of the Food Programme at the Lloyd’s Register Foundation. He discovered the untapped potential of algae during his travels in Asia and now champions their diverse applications to address global challenges, including climate change, ocean pollution, biodiversity loss, and food insecurity. As the author of the book “Seaweed Revolution: A Manifesto for a Sustainable Future,” presented at the United Nations, Vincent founded and co-leads the first global coalition for algae in partnership with the CNRS, working to structure this emerging industry. A passionate advocate, Vincent regularly speaks at major events, including the United Nations General Assembly, FAO conferences, TED, and COP meetings, highlighting algae as a key solution to the world's ecological and social crises.


Senior Policy Advisor, Ocean & Climate, WWF Germany. Passionate and experienced leader with expertise in environmental law and policy, marine conservation, and the nature-climate nexus. Julika Tribukait has 10+ years of experience from the ground up to the policy level in public and private sector organizations as well as NGOs, and gained a very good understanding of international environmental policy processes, political strategy development at ministerial level and development cooperation.
